New critters

Well, it was only a matter of time before I brought home a new critter....or two! I've wanted a tuxedo cat for a long time and thanks to the folks at Prairieland Herbs & Panora Pets I got one....and his sister.

I'm a real sucker for little critters. Tux was pretty skittish from having been adopted out at one time then brought back to the shelter. When I went to pick him up he was playing in his pen with a reallllly nice black kitten. Found out it was his sister and they had 2 for 1 deal going on. So I though "why not?" Having his sister adopted with him will keep him company. The kittens have ALL of the Vet work done, even down to already being neutered.

awwwww it's summer!

I have a new puppy and Vern's garden is going nuts. Standard fare for supper is fresh green beans, Iowa sweetcorn dripping with butter, fresh tomatoes (with sugar for me!) and something thrown on the grill. Tonight we had boneless, skinless, chicken thighs with BBQ sauce that I just threw together.

I'll post some new pics of the pup when I get them uploaded. I'm just trying to see if I got this blogging thing set up correctly.
